Pasadena Voters Go to the Polls Today
Business News 2 recommended0 commentsShareShareTweetSharePin it Pasadena residents eligible to vote have the opportunity today to cast ballots to elect representatives to four-year terms for Mayor and for City Council Districts 1, 2, 4 and 6 and for the PUSD Board of Education members representing District seats 2, 4 and 6.Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.For all election information, go toÂ www.cityofpasadena.net/CityClerk/electionÂ or call the City Clerkâ€™s Office at (626) 744-4124.Polling locations can be found on the City Clerkâ€™s webpage or in the pre-printed voter information pamphlet that was mailed to registered voters.Candidates who receive a majority of the votesâ€”50 percent, plus oneâ€”at the primary nominating election March 10 will be elected to the respective office. If not, the names of the candidates receiving the two highest number of votes for the respective office will be placed on the ballot for the general (run-off) election scheduled April 21, 2015.After the polls close, the City Clerk will begin announcing results as soon as possible once ballot counting begins. Ballot counting will be conducted in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., second floor. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for the public to attend the ballot-counting process.Election night coverage will be broadcast live by Pasadena Media, www.pasadenamedia.tv on KPAS, the Cityâ€™s government cable TV station, available on Channel 3 for Charter subscribers and Channel 99 for AT&T U-Verse subscribers.Coverage also will be streamed live on the Cityâ€™s website, www.cityofpasadena.net in addition to the Pasadena Media website.
