Trevon Callendar’s 6th minute goal for GTI was cancelled out by Lennox Cort.Game two was a needle affair as Bad-a-Yard went down 1-0 to Leopold Street thanks to Orandel Williams who scored in the 4th minute.Rising Stars were too much for Back Circle as they won 4-1 thanks to Daniel Ross who scored a Guinness Goal in the 17th minute. A Guinness Goal counts as two strikes and occurs when a goal is scored in the final three minutes of the game.Rahiem Augustus (5th) and Nikkel Carter (14th) were the other two strikes while Back Circle’s lone mark came off an own goal.Sheldon Profitt’s 3rd minute strike was enough to give Bent Street a 1-0 win over Tucville while Queen Street Tiger Bay overcame Broad Street 3-1 on penalties after a goal-less game.North East La Penitence won 3-1 as well on penalties after a one-goal game in which Alwyn Moore’s 7th minute goal was cancelled out by New Market’s Orlando Ricketts’ 12th minute strike.Future Stars were also winners on the night against Alexander Village after a 3-1 score line. Jamal Cozier (8th), Akeemo Anthony (14th) and Jermaine Junior (16th) were the three scorers in the Future Stars line-up while Shem Porter scored Alexander Village’s goal.Trap Squad beat Albouystown-B on penalties 2-1 after a scoreless game while Gaza Squad beat Sparta Boss 4-3 on sudden-death penalties after their game ended goalless as well.Matches continue tonight at the same venue with California Square taking on Stabroek Ballers, Sophia Bullies against Norton Street Ballers, New Market Street facing Kingston and Upsetters battling it out with East Front Road.After the break, Festival City will oppose North East La Penitence, Ol Skool Ballers take on Gaza Squad, West Front Road lace up to face North Ruimveldt and Sparta Boss play Channel-9 Warriors.last_img read more
