Streisand throws Dems fundraiser Barbra Streisand welcomed Nancy Pelosi to her bluff-top Malibu estate for a fundraising dinner that took in $1.3million for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “She’s a very good friend of Nancy Pelosi, and she wanted to celebrate the first female speaker of the House,” Streisand publicist Dick Guttman said. The 120 invited guests paid up to $50,000 a couple to attend Thursday night’s dinner party inside a large white tent erected on the Point Dume property. It was the first fundraiser at Streisand’s home since a 1986 concert that raised $1.2million for Democrats, he said. Madonna, make way for Kylie Minogue. The Australian pop singer is the newest star to join up with Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz, inspiring a limited swimwear line to debut in mid-May, the company said in a statement this week. Minogue, 38, didn’t actually design the “H&M loves Kylie” beachwear line but contributed ideas and will appear in ads. The ’60s-inspired collection is “all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun!” Minogue said on her Web site.
