first_img Harry Kane celebrates scoring for Tottenham 1 Harry Kane is on course to be crowned PFA Young Player of the Year for the second successive time.The Tottenham striker is the hot favourite to pick up the award again after becoming only the fifth Englishman to hit 20 goals in consecutive Premier League seasons.Kane, who is also in the running for the main prize, is joined on the shortlist by teammate Dele Alli.Alli has taken the Premier League by storm after joining Spurs from MK Dons and has quickly become a key man for club and country.Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho, who has scored 10 goals in 34 appearances this season, is also among the nominees.Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals Everton, meanwhile, boast two contenders for the Young Player prize – Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku.Barkley and Lukaku have been bright lights in a disappointing season for the Toffees and have scored 26 of their team’s goals.Stoke and England goalkeeper Jack Butland, who will miss Euro 2016 with a serious injury, makes up the six-man shortlist.last_img read more
